Friday Foreclosure List for Pierce County, WA including Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Puyallup

Friday Foreclosure List for Pierce County, WA including Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Puyallup and surrounding areas as of March 26, 2010. Only 18 this week. Which is interesting because I just read two articles this week about the state of our housing market. First, there was an article released by "Money Magazine" showing somewhere between a 2.9-4% increase in value for this year in 7 Washington cities. Moreover, those 7 Washington cities graced the top 10 ... in the nation! So, all indicators point to a recovery this year (of sorts). That being said, the second article heralded from "The News Tribune", our local Tacoma-area news source. They painted a much different picture headlining: "Housing rebound at risk". Essentially stating that all the recovery is at risk teetering "in the hands of an angry god"...to quote the great evangelist Jonathon Edwards. No I am not getting religious on you, but do love that imagery. The TNT author had no hard facts or data to support his argument. If I learned anything from Civics teacher,Mr. Anderson, it was that you needed at least 3 resources to effectively debate anything! False facts with no data to back it up....and you call yourself a journalist?
One such false fact: Pierce County/ Tacoma bank owned foreclosures are on the rise. Now you and I know that is just not true. We have been doing this every Friday for the last 10 weeks or so and they remain steady with an average of about 20-23 each week in the last month. Prior to that, they were way up...but have since leveled. It just irritates me that a powerful media source that affects so many opinions and decisions can release a scare/shock - story completely based on opinion with no data or fact and yet Moody's and CNN have forecasted Washington to lead the nation on the road to recovery ???????? Who to believe?
